About Tanya Diedrick
Tanya Diedrick is the Vice President of Risk and Insurance Management at H&R REIT, one of Canada’s largest diversified real estate investment trusts. She is responsible for the implementation and management of various risk transfer and mitigation programs for the REIT’s ~11.1 billion dollars of total assets across Canada and the US. Prior to working at H&R REIT Tanya spent almost 4 years as an Analyst in the Legal/Risk Management department at the iconic Canadian coffee company, Tim Hortons.
Tanya began her career in the property and casualty insurance industry in the early 90s, first as an Underwriter, and then as a Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) licensed broker working for some of the largest global brokerages in Toronto and the GTA. She has earned her designations as a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), as well as the Canadian Risk Manager (CRM).
She is passionate about giving back to her industry and was a career ambassador for a number of years for the Insurance Institute of Ontario’s Ambassador Program. Tanya currently serves on the board of the Ontario Risk and Insurance Management Society (ORIMS) as the Past President. She is also a co-founder and co-chair of a peer-to-peer Risk Manager’s roundtable with over 30 member company representatives from North America’s commercial real estate industry.
About Anita Morgan
Anita Morgan is an experienced leader with over 15 years of working with affluent individuals in the insurance industry. As a Broker, Anita has successfully balanced the expectations of clients and insurers. By providing her expertise and insights, she helped insurers implement new products. She also was diligent in customizing insurance programs that met the needs of high-net-worth individuals. Anita has a proven track record in customer retention, business profitability and fostering trust with business partners and clients.
As a leader, Anita has mentored and provided guidance to individuals and teams. She builds a culture that promotes teamwork, celebrates differences, and encourages open dialogue to solve problems.
She is passionate about continuous learning and has taught for 5 years at the Insurance Institute of Canada to students who were attaining the Chartered Insurance Professional designation. Anita is also involved on committees that promote diversity and inclusion.
She has completed the Fellowship Chartered Insurance Professional designation and also has obtained the Canadian Risk Management designation from the Global Risk Management Institute Inc.
About Nancy Dorvil
Nancy Dorvil has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and is currently the Head of Property Canada at Allianz Commercial. She has been a member of the Canadian leadership team for the past 5 years. In her capacity, she is responsible for leading and implementing the plan for the Property line of business in Canada whilst maintaining alignment with the North American and Global Property strategies.
Nancy has a wide range of expertise as she started her career in the field of loss control. There she provided loss prevention assessments for the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries to name a few. After six years in loss prevention, Nancy became a production underwriter, which ultimately led her to Allianz Commercial in 2013 as an Executive Underwriter for the Engineering line of business. Nancy later took on the role of Director, Clients & International Insurance Solutions. As a key account manager, she expanded the International Insurance Solution value proposition including overseeing Allianz Commercial’s existing Canadian multinational portfolio. She also served two years on the North America Inclusion Diversity and Belonging steering committee. Nancy’s voice and support of this very important initiative continues to help drive the message forward for Allianz Commercial in Canada and abroad.
Nancy is fluent in French and English and holds a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University as well as the Canadian Risk Management designation
