Karen Richards is the Vice President, Regional Delivery Support & Solutions for the Canadian Personal Bank. Her team focuses on making Branch Banking processes simpler, faster and clearer. Karen is the business owner of hardware & network capabilities to support branch sales, servicing, cash and authentication functions; business continuity management, health and safety, 1A oversight functions, risk control monitoring, and process simplification to unlock branch capacity.

Karen’s financial services career spans 24 years, during which she has occupied increasingly senior positions in Marketing, Credit Cards, Personal Lending, TD Insurance, Personal Banking Delivery Excellence, and Business Architecture, as well as Journey & Platform ownership. Additionally, she led teams in a variety of disciplines including product management, strategy, business analysis, operations, Customer Relationship Management platform design, and was the business owner for 3 large scale platform migration programs.

Karen graduated from the University of Western Ontario with Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and from Fanshawe College with a Business Administration Marketing Diploma. Prior to her career in financial services, Karen was the Promotions Director for FM96 London’s Best Rock, and an Associate Marketing Director for a large 200+ store retail mall.

Karen is a strong supporter of diversity and leadership initiatives. Previously, Karen was the Chair for the TD Insurance Visible Minorities, the Co-Chair for TD Insurance Women-In-Leadership and the Co-Chair for the Black Employee’s Network.

Karen is married with two stepsons, loves to travel, buys more books than she reads, and listens to podcasts.
