EWIIN invites you to our Black History Month fireside chat with Renee Simms, Vice President, Insurance Corporate, RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust.
Renee is the first and longest standing employee at RioCan and one of the original mentors of EWIIN (2009). We are excited to hear from Renee.
Renee Simms is the Vice President, Insurance Corporate, RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust, one of Canada’s largest real estate investment trusts; responsible for managing the insurance program of RioCan’s multi-billion-dollar portfolio comprised of 198 properties with an aggregate net leasable area of approximately 34.8 million square feet (at RioCan’s interest) including office, residential rental and 11 development properties.
As one of RioCan’s first and longest-standing employees, she uses her knowledge gained from over 24 years at the Trust to support RioCan’s overarching strategy to manage and mitigate risks to drive long term unitholder value.
Renee currently serves on the Risk Managers’ Executive Council for Factory Mutual Insurance Company; and is a co-founder & co-chair of a peer-to-peer Risk Manager’s Roundtable comprised of 32 members from North America’s commercial real estate industry
